...put the "ThaImpact" folder in C:\Programs\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds then rightclick your dock and navigate to Properties >> Appearance >> Background >> ThaImpact. apply your changes with "ok" and you're done.
well, i hope you like my fourth ObjectDock background. i'm looking forward to your feedback.
uhm, pardon my ignorance, but what's a "mouse emcima"? ..and what do you mean by "hid the icons"? i actually didn't hide any icon, i merely exchanged them by utilizing the ObjectDock app's context menu, as shown when rightclicking on a dock icon. here's the [link] to the icons i used.
Well, it might help a little bit if you take all the files in your program files for object dock, Kind of copy the entire object dock "program files" folder and zip it. Then make it for download on here. That would save alot of peoples time. And you'd get alot more likes, not trying to be a critic. I like all your work. This theme was awesome. But the dock..i'm having a bit of trouble with it..
"..Kind of copy the entire object dock "program files" folder and zip it. Then make it for download on here.."
hmm, .. frankly, i don't really see how that might be of some help. i mean, why zip & upload all program files, when all you need is just the skin (background)? however, it might be worth mentioning, that this skin only works if you'd have your dock on the bottom edge of your screen. if you want it to be displayed at the top edge, then you'd have to rename the background.png to background top.png.
"..And you'd get alot more likes.."
well, as of now this skin is among the top5 of the "Most popular deviations in ObjectDock ever submitted" and i'm quite confident with all the feedback and acceptance it got so far.
on 2nd thought: is there any chance that you've tried using this skin on a dock that's placed at the top edge of your screen? well, that's what might have caused the transparency issues you had, because this skin is for bottom edge docks only. try and rename the background.png to background top.png and see if that works.
Actually, my dock stays at the bottom, the tabbed one moved about as needed, but the primary one just stays at the bottom. I thought I had set something wrong, but I haven't had any luck making it show up. Maybe it just hates me? I've had my comp do that to me before after all......
"..I've had my comp do that to me before after all.."
does this mean that it happened with other docks too or just with my ThaImpact dock? if this is an issue that occurs with other skins as well, then i don't think it's something i can fix in just my skin. sorry.
maybe (just maybe) it has something to do with the fact that this dock skin is less high than other docks, because i created it to work well together with my BASIC5 TEXTUAL icons. [link] so, other (regular) icons are likely to exceed the dock skin area on both sides (top & bottom), which then again might be a reason for the dock to act "odd" on programs that are not configured to have one of my BASIC5 icons as their representing image, yet. well, just a wild guess, tho.
I honestly couldn't say. I did try removing all of my icons, just to see if that helped, but no luck. I'm also running it on a fresh install of win7, and it still refuses to show up. I feel kinda stupid not being able to make it work, but not much I can do about it I'm afraid.
hmm, i never really tried creating a dockzip file and i always asumed that it would pack not only the skin and separator etc., but the actual icons used in that dock as well for a later usage after a new and fresh system install, hence making it rather useful for personal needs only. however it is quite odd that this skin wouldn't show up on your display at all. never had any complaints thus far.
well, ..since the dock is a lot more slim than a regular dock it actually is kinda tricky to accomplish a matching tabbed dock without the tabs being too much off. besides it would look rather odd if you'd use "systray" functionality for one tab and the icons would then exceed the slim dock.
maybe there's a workaround for this, but unfortunately i'm just a noob to creating all sorts of different OD zoomers, tiles, tabs and bars.
