I am very happy for and with you! I always thought: "Hey! This guy does an incredible job in skinning the shit out of the image editor! That should have been rewarded more often!" And I am not speaking of the STIKMA design alone here. You released other great works in the past which should have gotten a DD.

i'm quite speechless and somewhat overwhelmed by your ever so kind words.
i know there's sometimes a big fuss about giving and receiving DDs although i don't know much about whether i "deserved" one or not. one thing's for sure tho.. the DD brought me your wonderful feedback and that's worth a lot more than any DD can ever deliver. in fact, it's by all means priceless and i consider myself very very lucky to have you around as a real and true friend.

in that case i think your stikma rain should get one as well, so that makes a stikma suite DD
first there was this DD for this wallpaper. it really hit me by surprise, because from all of my Stikma releases this was the least expected to be featured in a DD. in fact, i have put so much work and effort to all the other items in the Stikma series, that never ever i would have thought that the one i created in merely half an hour would be the DD one. well, i don't want to sound un-grateful or anything, but i even felt a bit disappointed, because i knew that DDs don't come easy and i've had some quiet hopes, that it would be the Stikma CAD skin that gets the DD. i know that there's some unspoken rule here on dA so that each deviant is only entitled to get a maximum of one DD in a timespan of at least 3 months, so chances are that my CAD skin would have been forgotten by then. but that wasn't really of much concern for me and so i've had a very nice day with some wonderful and unexpected feedback from many many deviants who have never crossed my way before.
on the next day i got up rather early and i stumbled over a featured news article about browser (firefox) scripts & extensions [link] . while reading the article i eventually ran into this userscript. i have installed it and i can tell you it is really nice if you're interested in some more extended statistics about any deviant that might cross your way. anyways .. i've installed it and then i had to configure it to my liking. so i moved around some stats and had them ordered in different lists for comments, favs, deviations and views. then, when i finally saved my changes i tested that stats thingy on my own profile page and to my surprise it read: 3 Daily Deviations. knowing that i only got two DDs so far (one from just the day before and another one from some two years back), i instantly thought: "damn, i've installed some crappy script shit. the stats are unreliable."
well, it wasn't before long and i found out that the stats thingy was right. a 2nd consecutive DD in 2 days.
now you would guess that i must have been the happiest deviant possible, but no .. it wasn't quite like that, because i was convinced that a terrible mistake must have happened and that the DD for my Stikma CAD skin is likely to be taken away from me in no time again. so, i spent the rest of that day with a very strange cocktail of all sorts of different emotions and feelings. on one side i was happy and proud that my work receives so much attention and wonderful feedback. proud of myself for what i've accomplished for CAD and my own personal agenda. but on the other side i also felt highly uncomfortable with the fact that i just might have become the first deviant in history who received 2 consecutive DDs. and as absurd as it may sound .. i even felt guilty about that. it took me quite some time to realize that i'm actually the least responsible in that situation and that it wasn't me who is to blame over this. but still it was feeling like having one foot on the brake while the other foot is still on the gas-pedal. a spooky situation if you're overwhelmed by the massive increase of attention by the people and everything inside you is wanting to give the planet a hug, but at the same time you're trying to prepare yourself for a situation, that everything could be over in any minute.
i think, i still haven't realized what really happened that day (or those days).
but to come to an end .. i think the whole situation could be best described as being purely unbelievable.
and maybe it's just like you said: i got lucky.

Well, i'm not really sure what the GM was thinking, at any rate, you still deserve the DD on this one so you shouldn't be worrying about it. The most important thing is that, people appreciated, downloaded and faved this wall. So with or without a DD, the amount of people that enjoyed your wall will be enough proof that this is DD worthy.
